Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a great option in many situations. They are a conservative approach to changing the size, color or shape of a tooth. Undesirable defects like damaged, discolored, or stained teeth can be masked with dental veneers.

Veneers are a good choice for covering up chipped or worn teeth or gaps in your teeth. Here at our Farmingdale, NY LI Dental Solutions dental practice, we offer a wide range of cosmetic dentistry options, including veneers for teeth.

What to Expect During your Porcelain Veneers Treatment
When you come in to see our Farmingdale dentist, Dr. Eric Chimon, DDS, for your dental veneers, he first takes x-rays to see what he is working with. He then trims approximately a half a millimeter of the enamel of your tooth in order to prepare for your porcelain veneers. He takes a mold or impression of your teeth and sends them to the lab for preparation. After one to two weeks when your veneers are ready, Dr. Chimon cleans and prepares your tooth, roughens its surface for better adhesion and attaches the veneer to your tooth using special cement. He then hardens it quickly using blue curing light.

Dr. Chimon schedules a follow-up visit around three weeks following your procedure to ensure your dental veneers are placed properly.

Porcelain veneers enhance the appearance of your smile, mouth, and other facial features and last a long time. To set up your appointment to come and for your oral exam with Dr. Chimon, give our office a call at 516-694-2106 or visit www.lidentalsolutions.com
